It is one mile and four furlong horseshoe-shaped course. The track is set within 20 acres of countryside near the edge of the South Down, which is also available for hire.

The racing season runs from April until October. However, it is not just during the summer that the racecourse is buzzing. Racecourse organize venues which are available all year round on racedays and non-racedays. A variety of events are held throughout the year, that includes , Summer Music Nights, the famous Ladies Day, Family Fun Days, stag or hen parties, weddings, firework displays, variety of exhibitions, trade shows, business events, conference and Christmas parties, outdoor events such as an outside drinks reception, barbeque, large concert, drive in movie, helicopter landing or park and ride. There is a huge car park for 1500 cars on site.
